New Year, New You!

Work, Work, Work it Girl - When January 1st comes around everyones new years resolution is to loose weight, but what these people are missing out on is making FITNESS a daily thing thats apart of your everyday routine. Slowly transition your body into working out 6 days a week. You will not only see results in you butt, stomach, arms, legs, and whatever else you need to fix, but you will see changes in your sleep, skin, happiness, and overall daily life. Pick a time everyday to work out even if its for 30 minutes or an hour. By doing this you'll find an increase in your appetite, and that is good because your body is burning all the fat stored up! Don't be afraid of the C word aka CARBS. They'll give you energy to do most of your workouts, and you'll burn them off anyways so WHO CARES right? Don't just work out because you think you'll lose weight…work out because you feel so good and refreshed after, workout because you get a high from running, workout because it starts your day off right!

Work Outs I Like…

  • Running & Abs
  • Cycling & Arm Weights
  • Insanity
  • Sprinters Track Workout
  • CrossFit Moves & Cardio
  • Interval Training

This week make it a deal with me and whoever else to do this….

I don't ever want to hear anybody say they don't have time or a place to do so because you can do something like this….

  1. Great blog, Sara! Along with many women across the country, my New Year's resolution was to get in shape. I started the year out strong, creating a daily workout routine that lasted approximately 30-45 minutes. My reason to start this routine was not necessarily to lose weight, but to get my body in shape and to better my health. Now that school has started back, I have been extremely overwhelmed with class, homework, work, and sorority events. I have not been able to maintain my daily workout routine but I try to workout out at least 2-3 times a week. As you mentioned in your blog, incorporating fitness into your routine will better your overall health and happiness. Continue to motivate people to incorporate fitness into their lives through your blog!

  2. Hi Sara! I love your blog! January is always a perfect time to start focusing on fitness and maintaining a healthy life style. I like that you chose to focus on working out to change your lifestyle and make yourself feel better rather than solely working out to lose weight. I think you have a strong message and a great workout regimen. Thanks for sharing your workout tips! I'm excited to follow along with your blog and I can't wait to read future posts!!

  3. What a great blog! This one is particularly meaningful to me as my husband and I have made a commitment to improve our fitness for the new year. This is great because I am more like you...need to get back to 6-times per week hard core. But you also give good tips for a beginner like my husband (who never started gaining weight until now). You gave us some tips we can both work on together. You rock and nice job!
